Phytohormones, also known as plants hormones or PGRs (Plant Growth Regulators), are signal molecules produced within the plant that regulate plant growth and development. The phytohormones occur in extremely low concentrations, regulate cellular processes and determine the formation of flowers, stems, leaves, the shedding of leaves, and the development and ripening of fruit and seeds.
Based on our research results, we develop hormone-based products for the enhancement of rooting, growth, flowering, cannabinoids level and seeds production.
Genetics is the study of genes, genetic variation, and heredity in living organisms. Breeding is a combination of art and science, for creation of new strains, varieties and hybrids. Using genetic information in conventional plants breeding, can enhance and precise the breeding process while lowering costs. We use our deep understanding and vast experience in plant’s genetics, to explore important cannabis-specific genetic elements, and develop genetic markers for identification of important traits. Our genetic markers enable us to develop elite quality cannabis strains for medical, industrial and recreational uses.
Postharvest handling is the stage of crop production immediately following harvest, including trimming, curing, sorting and packing. For medical cannabis, accurate postharvest treatment is crucial. Inappropriate postharvest treatment leads to reduction in cannabinoids and terpens content, and Increases the risk of fungus and bacterial infection. We develop science-based technologies for accurate postharvest treatments, which leads to significant reduction in curing time while preserving the cannabinoids and terpens content.
Cannabis extract is a concentrate of cannabinoids and terpens. The extract is significantly more potent than buds, and are more effective for some medical purposes. There are several common methods for cannabis extraction, including tincture, butane-hash-oil (BHO), super critical CO2 and more. Every method has advantages and disadvantages. However, efficient extraction is a complex process, and for medical-grade extracts, an accurate and reproducible method is needed. We develop a high-scale, accurate process, for medical-grade cannabis extracts.
